Ok, ok... So we just realized that this whole blog thing doesn't update itself, sorry I'm a little slow. The thing that gets me is how fast time flies by when you're staying busy. Allie will be nine months in ten days! Last time we updated this page, Allie was getting dedicated at our church and our new nephew was recently born.

What's going on now... everything! Allie first word was actually "baby", which she repeated after hearing it from another toddler and hasn't said since. After that was "dada dada dada", that's right; not "mama". Although "mama" has now entered the equation and "dada" has obviously been put on the back burner until about 4am when Allie wants a diaper and some milk.
Nursing has been a big challange for me. Allie now has six teeth, four up top and two on the bottom. BUT I have no choice since she refuses formula and breast milk out of the bottle or sippy cup. I am doing my best to stay strong.
Allie is crawling super fast. She has been pulling herself up on everything, especially other people or babies but hasn't really tried to start walking. We just went to the doctor on Friday and Allie had another double ear infection. The doctor stated that this in not a good sign and it puts us one step closer to going to see ENT. We are praying otherwise because we don't want her to have to get tubes. She weighed pounds!
Allie's Aunt Casey is ENGAGED! We are super excited and will be heading to Dallas to see her this weekend to celebrate. Call us if you are interested in hanging out.
She is super cute!! Call us when we you get to town, we would love to see you and to meet Allie!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl ... I can imagine nursing's pretty challenging but hang in there. Have you tried the Breastflow bottle by The First Years company? You can find them at babies r us and some Target's have them. If you haven't tried it, it might work ... its shape and feel really resembles the breast. If you can't find it in stores, you can order it on Amazon too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with nursing. I know how tiring it can get, and I have only been doing it for 3.5 months. I am alredy scared about Carter getting teeth. How long do you plan on nursing for?
ReplyDeleteAllie sure is a cutie! I wish I would have known you guys were in town this weekend.
Great photos, she sure does take a good picture! Hopefully the ear infections stop soon. Hunter had them tons when he was a baby and as soon as they started talking about tubes he never got one again, so hopefully that is the case with Allie as well!
